Default Looking for Tire suggestions..

I have the wheels I want picked out.. they're 17" Pro Comp 7105's.

I'm getting mixed reviews on tires, though. I was going to go with BFG AT's but I'm having people tell me they're not good in the snow/ice. I live in New England, and it can be brutal in the winter.. so I'm hoping I can get some suggestions on a good tire.

The Jeep is my daily driver, and I don't have the time to off-road too often, but I'd still like them to be able to be reliable in light off-road conditions.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Edit: Woops! Posting from work, I'm half distracted. They need to be 33's and fit on a 2" lift. MA laws won't let me go any higher than that :(

From what I have seen/heard - they are good tires in every thing but mud - and no AT is going to be that good in mud.

Hi,

Go with the BFG's. I had them on my '04 Rubi and they were great. I never felt them slip on snow/ice, but that may be due to 4wd. They also did great off road, but are not mud tires, so keep that in mind. They look cool and are a lot cheaper than many of the other tires out there. You will like them!

Secondly, MA won't let you lift higher than 2"? What a bunch of commies!

It's based on wheel base x wheel track / by 2200.

It works out to be 2.5ish. I was going to go with the Teraflex BB, but it won't work for me since I'm running an auto trans.

Toyo's are a bit heavy...actually really heavy. Try taking a look at Firestone Destinations... not bad tires from what I hear.
