Default Love/Hate relationship with the Trektop NX

I love the way my Trektop NX looks as a full top and as a bikini top, but god I hate puting the side and rear windows back in. What a pain in the ass. I've only had it a few weeks now I hope it gets easier to reassemble.

The first time I ran it as a bikini top I also lost the two black end caps on the rear bow. Bestop had awesome customer service and said they would send new ones out. They also mentioned the caps should be riveted on. I think they thought I was talking about the tailgate bar even though they said its the top one that goes across the roll bars. We'll see what I get.

Anyone else continuing to fight their top?

Been thinking of buying that top. What is so hard about putting the windows in and out.

Had my Trektop on for about a month now, everything has stretched nicely so I have no issues zipping the windows back on. As long as you zip everything in the right order it's not bad at all.

Yeah. What he said ^^^^

This is a nice tip. Only suggest that you should go with the factory rear tailgate bar. The bestop one blows.

I love being able to run it as a safari top but I can never get the windows back in without a major struggle. The passenger side window will not go all the way into the door surround at the top and it is alway a fight to get the rear window zippers started. I've tried reassembling per the instructions and in different orders. I am about to give up on this top. Any advice?

I usually start the window zipper about an inch, then tuck the vertical piece into the door surround, finish the zipper the rest of the way back and finally tuck in the bottom. The zipper still takes a good pull to finish the last inch or so but this process works for me.

Hopefully it works out for you.
