When I had K&N, it soaked up 3 weeks of Moab dust, and couldn't climb out eastwards up to Denver. 2nd gear on the interstate because I had NO AIR!
DEFINITELY keep a spare paper type on hand if you're summer wheeling!
Just a suggestion
want a used K&N?

The whistle...

Do all JKs whistle when on the road? Every time i give it a little gas, i hear the whistle. I thought that maybe the previous owner installed a spacer but i have not seen one anywhere. Is it normal? Also, now that i have installed a CAI, i can hear it more.

I had a TB Spacer on my old XJ, never noticed any performance, just the typical whistle. Don't think I'd ever spend the money on one of those again. I had a 6x9 K&N setup in the XJ which did give a slightly noticeable effect, but for my JK I'm thinking I'll keep the stock airbox and try the aFe Dry Filter to start.

Congrats. My Airaid also gave a pleasant (albiet modest) boost in the dead spot with the auto tranny. No MPG boost for me though.
