Tell the Prius guys how you really feel.

Plus it's reflective.

Pre-2007 all Wrangler tail lights had reverse lights on the upper side of the lenses. When the JK was designed some jackwagon decided to change the iconic tail light configurarion. On the JK you can simply remove and detatch and rotate them to follow traditional Jeep design.

Remove and unplug tail light assemblies. Take driver's side assembly and install "upside down" on passenger side, repeat process using passenger side lens ans installing on driver side. Double check light functions to ensure they are hooked up properly.
I might do this too !

For those looking to do this mod, know that the housings are not a perfect match when you swap them. If you look carefully you'll see that there is a small taper in the housing. This results in some gaps that might allow water to seep through.

You're right! Did this mod and switched it back after I saw how it looked.

You realize the body isn't sealed behind the tail lights, right? There's an area big enough for me to put my fist thru if I peel back a bit of insulation under my Jeep. No mod is for everyone. But mine fit great swapped on my 07.

I do realize the housing isn't sealed. I wanted this to work for me, and I still might see if I can flip the lights in the housing somehow. I just thought I'd share my findings so others could be informed, and forgo the extra work if they also end up unhappy with the fit.

I have covers that would probably hide any gaps. I'm going to try the mod this weekend.

This pic is years old but the best pic I have of the covers.
