Default Lower Control Arm install tips...

I am installing teraflex front lca's on a 2011 unlimited rubi with 2.5" coil over lift. I've searched the topic and came across thread after thread about what an easy install this is, just take out the olds install the news and have a beer. Some said you don't even have to jack up the jeep. I'm having no such luck. After setting the lengths to 23.5" I am nowhere close to being able to get them to fit. I've tried with the jeep on the ground and on jack stands. Very frustrating! Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Just lay on the ground and force the axle forward with your feet in a squatting motion.

23.5" sounds like too much for 2.5" lift but maybe it's different with coil overs.

If you are unable to line up the bolt holes start with the TF LCA's at stock length and do the swap. Then one at a time increase the length a turn or two then do the other side. Keep doing this from side to side until you get the length you want.

I used a tie down ratchet strap to move the axle the little bit so the bolt would slide in and out. I have read others have had luck jacking in certain locations but I couldn't get it to work.

Thanks for the tips. I had heard the screwdriver tip somewhere else also. I really like the idea of installing them and then turning them one at a time to length. Ill give both a shot and hopefully have some success. Feel like Ive already wasted too much time on what is supposed to be a simple project.
