Default Lug nuts and pro comps

Forgive the noob question, but would the Gorilla automotive spline lug nut kit (http://www.quadratec.com/products/92806_900X_A_PG.htm) work with Pro Comp 8179s?

Thanks guys.

I am using the same gorilla kit with my Procomps, no issues so far.

If you get them-get an extra gorilla socket to match them-sockets are very thin walled-broke mine taking off a wheel and had to buy a whole set on a weekend to get the socket.

CLOTAGAMES:

Sorry, I don't understand. You're referring to the socket that removes the lug nuts?

If you look at the pic you linked, all of the nuts have splines on them, so a special tool (socket) is needed to turn them. It is the long one in the lower right. He is suggesting you get another of those long sockets.

Good idea to get an extra socket... who sells the socket separate?

Here is the similar setup with the Gorilla lugs...

I know some of the forum sponsors that sell gorilla lugs sell the socket by itself. I believe there are a few different patterns.

I bought my ProComp alloys through 4wd.com via forum member Bustabiz. He made sure I had an extra socket. It even had to come from a different warehouse...it came a couple days after the BIG shipment and I thought he'd forgotten to throw it in.

Yea, there turns out to be a lot of different patterns. And of course I don't have the "key certificate". I called Gorilla and they are excellent to deal with.
Asked me to send him a lug and he will tell me the right key socket to use, then I am going to order two spares (like $10 ea).
I sent him the lug off my spare and used a standard one in it's place for now. Better safe than sorry.

I hid the primary socket key under the roll cage padding just over the passengers head (open velcro, insert, close velcro) since I figure the first place a theif is gonna look will be the glovebox, center console, or with the jack. I'll hide the spare somewhere else and keep the extra spare at home.
