Default Mac friendly tuners

I currently have a Flashpaq and dig it for what I initially needed it for. I still enjoy it but my last Windows box at the house took a poo so it's just Mac's in the house. With that, I don't want to run Bootcamp or anything...No need to for my daily use of my Macs with the exception of updating my tuner firmware. Is there ANY programmer that Mac users have had success with? I read a bit about the Bullydog and putting the files on the SD card and all of that fun stuff but then there is a note about not formatting the card, etc. Last thing I need is to muff up my ECU.

Do I suck it up, get a Win 8 copy, run Bootcamp, VMWare, something?
