Did they say why they think you needed spacers?

Just tell them to put them on and you will take it elsewhere for spacers.

You need the spacers because the "circle cut outs" on the wheels are "die-cut" leaving a small metal lip on the back that rubs against the caliper brackets in the front.
I had to use two small metal "ricer wheel" style spacers in the front...honestly less than 1/4" and your good.
Take a look at the back of the rim and you will see.

Vince I have seen what you are talking about if you are trying to fit 15s and have steelies. The one I have are 17" procomp 8179s they should just mount up.

I'd drive back to their shop with them on and ask them if they still think it needs spacers. What a pain. Seems like often with JK stuff because shops haven't done it 100 times, it must be because it can't be done.

Glad you got it taken care of.

It is amazing that you can go to 3 different web sights and get 3 different backspacings on the same wheel. I have the 8179's with 4.5" of backspacing and easily clear the calipers on my Rubicon. No issues whatsoever.
