Yeah, they've grown on me. Better in silver I think. Wasn't my first choice, but the Sahara was a deal we couldn't pass up!

They really change the look even without a lift. Please post more pics once the lift is added.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the stock POS 32" SR-A tires, it's not possible to put Pro Comp 7005 17x9 5 on 5 bolt pattern 4.75" backspace on those tires, right? I've spent countless hours searching, and frankly, I'm way too lazy to look through the 200+ threads that popped up.

I'm assuming that I can't, but I'm not sure, so I just need your guy's answers. Thanks.

I'm hoping to get Goodyear Duratracs in the very far future, so thats why I posted my question here.

They're a 33" tire (275/70-R18). The suspension is bone stock (I have a lift on order), but they fit okay for road duty.

I've out about 100km on them on pavement and gravel roads. So far I love them! I can't wait to get them into something more than a construction site.

First impressions:
* They look way more aggressive in person than they do in photos.
* The siping is deep and the 'ridges' between treads are sharp and seem grippy.
* They are surprisingly quiet on the road; you can hear them with the soft top on, but it isn't intrusive.
* They ride very smoothly with only a bit of tread vibration right before stopping.
* Steering is just a bit heavier (went from 255 to 275)
* The 275 width on stock rims results in just a bit of rubbing at full lock. An adjustment to the steering stops should take care of that.
* I expect that they will rub under articulation, so I'm looking forward to the lift arriving before I hit the trails.
* The grip is really good, no troubles in the muddy construction site, depsite the mud from several days of heavy rain.

Looks great!

I do not need an MT (love the aggressive look) but as I am never
really off road and the limited time I am I figure might as well go with
an AT to cut road nice, improve road ride. to get max life and as I can benefit from it over a MT here in Michigan due to the rain/ice/snow.

I was all set on the BFG AT

BUT

They are not made in America.

In this economy and political climate I am not sending my money to France.

What do you guys suggest I look at? I want 33's (yes, I am sure I do not want 35's thank you). I want aggressive looks, long life, low road noise and swow/rain/ice handling.

I also want to buy from Discount Tire, they are all over by me and that with their warranty will make it easier for me to actually get them rotated etc.

Thanks!!!!
Another vote for the Cooper Discoverer S/T. I've been running my 33's for over a year now and love them. I have about 20,000 miles on them and still have about 60% of the tread left, they are quiet on the street and do really well on the trail. They handle wet roads and mud much better than the BFG AT's I've had on other vehicles and are comparable in snow and icy conditions.

Don't forget the Micky Thompson Baj ATZ's. They are own by Cooper tires and made in the USA. I just got a set of 315/75/16's put on and I love them.

Crappy iPhone pic, sorry.

Default ... a lil off topic ...

Alright guys, my time to buy is near... so here is my story.

I do a fair bit of wheeling. I have the stock KM's now, so I am used to offroading
W/ a mud tire. I need a tire to able to perform in the mud.

I was dead set on KM2's until the Duratrac's arrived on the scene.
They caught my attention solely b/c I have a 30mi round trip of Interstate to work.
I am ok w/ the sweet hummmm of a M/T so that isn't the issue. The all weather
traction and ride comfort, however, would be a plus.

I just need some real Duratrac feedback on some real wheelin'.

Thanks in advance.

Here is some examples...
