Do you want to leave the new muffler in the stock position or change the locaton to the middle of the jeep on the drivers side?

There are several mufflers made for your application, you just need to figure out the model numbers. They are made in universal sizes and some custom sizes from all manufacturers. Go under your jeep and measure the size of the pipes going in and out and note the configuration, ie dual in, dual out, or single in single out etc, also measure the size of the muffler itself. You can then go to websites that supply mufflers such as magnaflows website and find the right muffler, ie 2 1/4 single in, 2 1/4 single out. You should be able to find a muffler this way, or you could just go to a muffler shop and say I need a magnafllow stainless steel muffler and they will find one for you and install it for not much money. Hope this helps.

Edit: I forgot, the jk muffler is huge, so you just need one that will fit in that space, so it can be much smaller, really you could even go with a totally different configuration such as single in dual out and make a custom exhaust for not much more money.

Another Edit: Looking at magnaflows site it looks like universal muffler 2-2 1/4 in and out, offset, stainless steel would work. Part #11132

I believe that the inlet and outlet size is 2.5" NOT 2.25".

If you have a 4 door, then you may want to check this thread;

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/magnaflow-exaust-2854/

DHOffroad did the 9"X4"X11" magnaflow, and I did the 8"X5"X14". I just heard DH's last week, and they sound is very similar.

DH part number 11376
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=441

The 14" part number 14211
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=624

Both of these should be available from summitracing.com.

any local muffler shop can do the install and back end for you. I would recommend that you print some of DH's pics and take them to the muffler shop, so you can explain what you want done.

Yeah, I wasnt guaranteeing anything, caveat emptor, or in other words measure yourself and dont depend on everyone else to do your research for you. I was just trying to steer him in the right direction.

This really helps that exactly what i wanted. I will go for magnaflow part # 14211 becasue it is polished. I just wanted to replace the stock with magnaflow the same place as stock and also will put a nice exhaust tip to make it look good. THANKS WOODS for a detailed link.

I installed the Magnaflow cat back system that replaces everything from the cats all the way to the tip. Great sound. Heavy duty stainless and a nice looking tip. The muffler sits in the stock position, no cutting or mods needed. My 10 year old son and I did it in a couple hours (including the "whats that dad" and that, and that, and what about that). I bought it from Just Magnaflow cause they had the cheapest price with free shipping, pretty good for a 60lb. box the size of a small coffin.

The part number is right but the engine description is a typo.
