Default Making stock Rubi rails stronger?

I recently welded on some additional rails to the stock rubi rails and they look great but my main concern is there is still some give to the stock design since the bolt to the pinch seam and underbody. My though was since the bottom of the stock rail clears the bottom of the pinch seam and have a clear line to the frame maybe i could weld up some supports and bolt it directly to the frame and not use the factory bolts. Has anyone done or thought of this? Thanks.

I wouldnt connect the rockers to the frame. The body flexes seperate from the frame as designed.

Some companies have done this with rockers then ultimately changed the design.

Stockers are pretty strong to begin with

I've thought of cutting the pinch seam mounts off alltogether...

Then you could weld 1" round stock from the slider to the frame (leaving a gap at the body)

The lower body actually flexes upward enough when sliding on the rocks to close the gap under the doors

The stockers are damned strong. Unless you're gonna be a wheelin mofo, you'll be fine.

Default Rocker

Has someone shown them bending. I've had mine setting on a boulder before and it didn't do anything to it.

Yeah I thought that wouln't work too. I wouldn't use the stock connections, probably cut them off and weld up somthing to the bottom of the rail that could bolt to the frame only.

Default stock rubi rails are strong enough

I've plunked the stock rubi rails heavy onto some sick big boulders at Superlift ORV; saved my body from getting bitched-up, and barely scratched the rails... I have considered the Woods RubiTubres as additional strengthening and support:

Only thing holding me back is the economy.

These are modified Rubi Rails by Bone Digger. He adds mounting tabs to connect at the body mounts as well as the pinch seam mounts. Real solid and they keep the basic lines of the Sahara side steps
