Default Manual Shift Knob

I got a new shift knob for my 13 Rubicon 6 Speed and I haven't been able to figure out how to take the stock knob off, has anyone done it?

It's supposed to pop right off. I have read on forums of guys covering their stick with a cloth and pulling it off with pliers or pushing it off with a mallet

Pry off lower cap, put crescent wrench under knob, rap upwards with mallet. Watch out for your face.

Here is a quick video of how to take the knob off on a 2010 and I imagine it's no different on your 2013

When I did mine I pulled and pulled and pulled and it wouldn't budge for nothing... then I tried wiggling it back and forth a bit, and the thing came right off like it was nothing.

Good luck!

A slight amount of rotation while pulling and it will slip right off.
