Manual trans short shift????
They made short throws for the older jeeps! I'd like to have a more positive stopping shifter for when the idiot in me comes out... I've had a hurst shifter in my mustang for years, and it's probably saved the tranny a time or two.
So i've been reading and looking at this and yall should be able to tell me. What exactly would a shot shift kit do on the JK?
All i can tell is it would just shorten the movement from one gear to the next?

If you are interested in getting a B&M Racing short throw shifter for your Liberty or Wrangler equipped with the NSG370 six speed manual transmission, I am gathering names and daytime phone numbers for a list to be forward to B&M Racing.
Per Steve of B&M Racing, they need 250 individuals to state that they are interested in getting a shifter before the R&D department will start developing a shifter. No deposits, credit card holds, just your name and daytime number is required!
The information that you provide will not be forwarded, sold, traded, etc. to anyone, period!
Please feel free to pass on my email to other interested jeepers that do not "troll"

its all about personal opinions, it just takes it from a 5 inch spread in your shifting pattern to a 4 or 3.5, so your dont lose speed between shifts, laziness, its no race car so.......
cons can be premature shifting before clutch is fully disengaged, some say it eats up syncros and gears due to lack of time for gears to line up.

One major pro: When someone decides to go gorilla on a shifter while stuck, it protects the trans by limiting how far the shifter can move before it hits a physical stop, instead of the shift fork doing the stopping( or possible bending).
