Default Mastercraft grab handle Rip?

Has anyone seen one of these rip? I was climbing in my jeep the other day and had mine rip.
Wasnt sure if it would be a manufacture defect or what? I was shocked because of how tough i thought they have been to me.
Ill snap a picture

Would have sucked if it caused you to land on your ass. I would have busted my ass for sure. Haha. I don't trust them too much though. I usually just grab the roll cage or steering wheel.

On a side note, I did have one pull loose on a dodge a few years ago. The damn things actually just snapped into the pillar on that year truck. The owner said, "yyyyyyeep ... Gotta watch dat sucker ( chewing tabacca spit)". Lol.

Sent from the fast lane while driving one handed.

Hmmm... quote from the Quadratec website, regarding the MasterCraft Grab Handles:

"Sure, there are lots grab handles out there to choose from. But when you really need it, wouldn't you rather know your grab handle was manufactured by the same company that has provided racing seats and driver restraints to off-road racers for over 30 years, and who has built their reputation on safety and quality?
We thought so."

Unless... could an ember from a cigaret or anything hot have touched it?

I use the Synergy grab handles.

There are also these (a vendor on this forum) --

Neither of them will ever rip.
They are mounted at the corners, a more convenient location.

Love my Synergy front grab bars. Found the install a bit touchy as you have to cut holes in the A pillar. I have the MAstercrafts in the rear and have had no issues in 2.5 years. Although, they don't get used as much as the front

Not holes in the A pillar, but some trimming of the plastic that clicks on it.

Only problem is that the black metal may get real hot if parked in the sun in our hot weather. I may wrap it.
