i am running 37's on my 44's and with the addition of chromo shafts, they are holding up just fine. however, i personally wouldn't go any bigger than that.

Ditto here. Many people will say that 35" is the max, however, I have wheeled extensively with 37" and the 44 have held up so far. I would recomend getting the EVO "C" reinforcement brackets and chromoly shafts. Use a light foot on the accelerator when wheeling rough stuff.

really depends on how tough you are on it. I have seen knuckleheads break Dana 60 front axles with 33inch tires... I also have run 36" tires on a model 30 axle for many years of mostly moderate to wild offroading... The general consensus seems to be that 35" is the safe limit with no extreme wheelin'
