Default Maximum ft. of Synthetic on a Warn PP?

Thinking I will replace my 80' of 3/8" cable on my new Powerplant HD with Synthetic and have been looking at the Amsteel blue. What is the most 7/16' I can spool and what is the max 3/8" I can spool I would like to be somewhere between 80-100'? I have not used it so the fairlead is spotless will I still need to replace it with one of the hawse models?

Thanks

More likely the Warn PowerPlant guys own an HP model, not the HD. The HP model is the right size for the JK, and allows a longer line length. So, our experience would not apply to your situation.

BTW: Since your roller fairlead is "spotless", you should be fine using it. The Hawse fairlead does have the advantage of smaller size and lighter weight.

Yes the HD is overkill for the JK but it was only $49 more then the HP so I could not pass that up.

I just saw an article on this in a magazine but cannot find it now. I'm pretty sure it was in Petersens 4-wheel drive. With the larger winch you will also likely run cooler. Even better for the synthetic rope.
