Default Maxxis Big Horns

Hey guys, this is my first post. I hope this is the right place to post this thread! I have a 2011 jk wrangler 2 door and was going to lift it soon and put some muddies.

My question is what is the best overall tire? I was thinking the maxxis big horns. Are they that good? I read that they are fairly loud on the road. Is there a tire that is a good balance off road and on?

Thanks for the help!!

If you can get them the Goodyear Duratracs are what I really like. For a specific mud terrain though I'd go with the Toyo Open Country.

I also run the mtz good for mud and gravel but not so good in the ice and snow

I love my Maxxis bighorns I am on my 2nd set on 2 different rigs

First set was a set of 285/75R16 on my 04 TJ Rubicon, ran them for about 3 years, they worked great in everything except for ice, and were really tough with no chipping or punctures other than when I ran over a nail.

I am now running my second set 315/75R16 on my 2011 JKU Rubicon.

When these wear out I will be buying another set for sure, they are VERY hard to beat.
