Default Medalist Mud King tires...any info?

So I am still in the process of looking for wheels and tires. Anyone have info on Medalist Mud King tires? Looks like you can get 35/12.5/R15 for about $160 a tire. It seems too goof to be true, but I've heard Medalist is just an off brand of BF Goodrich and the Mud King was BFG's original mud pattern...any truth to this? The part number on the site I'm looking at begins with "BFG."

Thanks for any info you all can provide.

the tread pattern looks similar to the original bfg mt but nowhere close to being the same. likewise, i've never heard that medalist were an off brand of bfg. tire looks nice though.

eh... i think i should hold off on these, there has to be a reason they are so cheap. Also, buying these would mean getting 15" rims, I kind of had my heart set on a style where 16s are the smallest.

Anyone else have any thoughts??? Anyone use them on any vehicles, not just the JK? Just wondering if I should go out on a limb or what a little longer and spend more for better tires.

I haven't had them myself, but around here in the south people buy cheap mud tires like that all the time...Mud King, Wild Country RVT, etc.....and what you end up getting is a cheap mud tire. They're OK, but they don't wear well and won't last as long....spend a few bucks more and get something a little better quality.
