So the past three weeks, every night I feel like running my head into a wall....I have searched the form and the inter-webs and have found a lot of information reporting that a 285/75r18 will fit the stock Sahara wheel, BUT I have yet to find a definitive answer on the following:

Will a 285/75r18, (specifically the Toyo OC AT II) on stock '13 JKU Sahara rims rub in the wheel well when flexed? I am currently running an AEV 2" spacer lift.

I do not plan on rock crawling but rather hitting trails regularly and taking an overland trip or two out west next year.

Thoughts and help is greatly appreciated because this is the only thing holding me back from pressing the order button!!

The future plan is a regear to compensate for the added size IF I get the 285/75r18 vice the 275/70r18.

Just order them. If they rub order spacers! If it does run it won't be much, and it won't be hard on anything! Do it!

Disconnected, fully flexed, and without wheel spacers, I'd say they will probably rub.

My 275/70r17's just barely clear, and I've added a thin washer to the steering stops and adjusted the track bar centering to optimize the clearance.

Can you elaborate on "adjusted track bar centering to optimize the clearance"?

I've just never heard of anyone adjusting their track bar to optimize clearance....(check my profile, I've been around a short while)

I agree with Chester. Order them. I ran my 315/70/17 nitto trail grapplers on my 3 BDS and Fox shock lift with no spacers for about a week. Knew I would have rubbing so I ordered 1.5" spidertrax spacers, trimmed and re-etched my rock rails and boom... No rubbing. Now, you also have to ask yourself.., will I have the suspension operating at full droop a majority of the time? If the answer is no then your wanted setup would most likely be fine. And, as already said if you have minor rubbing address it at that time. It's not like your going to need a new Coast or Tom Woods driveshaft with that setup. Just my 2 pennies.

At first the track bars were adjusted for centered axles at the lifted ride height, then testing on ramps revealed some slight rubbing in one direction of axle tilt -- and the other side had clearance when stuffed in the opposite direction. Shifting the axle slightly for more clearance on the tight side yielded clearance on both sides. Not talking a lot of change, it isn't noticeable without careful measurement.
