Default Metal Cloak Control Arms

I know these have been discussed in other threads, but I have some specific questions that I thought warranted a new one.

1) Since they were designed for a 3.5" lift, will they work on a 2.5" lift without issue, or are they too long? I know they are adjustable so this might be a stupid question, but wanted to make sure I'm not just wasting time looking into them.

2) I like the fact they are maintenance free and seem to offer excellent on road ride quality, but has anyone had any wear issues with the flex joints? What is the long-term durability? Will they have to be rebuilt every year, or taken apart often to grease?

3) since they are so flexible, are they overkill for a 2.5" lift? Would I be better off going with rock krawler or teraflex? Why?

I am running a 2.5" TF coil lift with 5100s and currently running AEV control arm brackets up front.

I considered MC when choosing a 2.5 lift and was thinking 8 arms are better than none with a lift. For the price, they are on par with kits that replace all 8 arms. All you really need is some front lowers and rear uppers IMHO. Evo has a good kit for that, but I went with the RK 2.5 Flex kit that was under 800 bucks. It got my caster up front good and thrust withing .1% after an alignment. I'll get some rear uppers later to get my drive shaft back in alignment, but no vibrations doing 80+.

Most manufactures are going to make 1 part to do a few things. The thread count is high enough on any good manufatures product to do a 2.5 or 3.5 lift with the same part. We are talking well less than 1/2 an inch adjustment difference on the arms.

I would think just buying some lowers to accompany your TF lift and remove the brackets is you best option.
