Metal on metal noise in reverse
I recently had a grizzly locker installed with chromoly shafts in my rear. I got the job done by a really great shop and I am confident in the owners work, but I am hearing a strange noise since.
I know the locker makes some noise when turning and engaging but when I put the jeep in reverse and let off the clutch it makes a very loud squeaking/metal on metal noise.
Is this normal for a grizzly locker or something I should be worried about? I'm betting it is something I should probably be worried about...

That's what I thought too. I guess it is just coincidence that the noise started when I installed the locker
It happens when I am going straight in reverse and when I am turning.
I haven't heard the noise in a u turn. Only noise I hear while turning when going forward is that clunk noise from the locker which I know is normal. This is a completely different noise

Only I'm reverse. And keep in mind I am not breaking in reverse. I drive a six speed, if I keep the clutch fully engaged there is no noise but as soon as I let it out a but I hear the noise. I havnt tried full clutch out and foot on gas in reverse because I haven't been in a situation I've reversed that much lol but that's the circumstance.
