Let me ask three questions in one post:

1. Since I am looking specifically at 305/65R17, the Mickey's in that size are N rated for speed. Almost all the other sizes are Q rated. Does it mean I should expect poor balancing with the N speed rated 305/65/R17 Mickey's?

2. Pro Comp's are directional. How do you guys rotate your tires? Or it doesn't really matter which direction they spin?

3. Is ATZ P3 a replacement for ATZ Radial? Somewhere I read that's the case. Does anyone know?

Thank you All for the input. I've just pulled a trigger on ATZ Radial 285/70R17/8. Should get them by the end of next week, hopefully. I like tread pattern a lot, 3-ply sidewall, load range D (E would be a little too much for 2 door JK I think, and based on some reviews/opinions), rated Q for speed. I was considering 305/65R17s too, but those are E load rated and what I didn't like in particular was N rating for speed. I was concerned they may not balance well.

It took some time to research and for facts to settle. ProComp A/T is a fine tire, but I don't like the fact that they are directional which makes rotation somewhat awkward. Plus, they don't offer OWL sidewall which I prefer. I was almost ready to go Toyo Open Country A/T II route, but despite being a great tire it didn't feel right because I was looking for bolder tread blocks/pattern. Getting Toyos felt like a compromise, not to mentioned diminished justification for changing out stock tires.

Thank you again! Hope to get and mount them soon, and post some pics.

Got the tires yesterday. This is not apples to apples comparisons, but here are some pics before I mount them on wheels, in case anyone is interested.

Here are some apple-to-apple comparisons. Two of the 5 tires balanced with so little weight folks at the shop were surprised. Remaining 3 took about average amount of weights to balance for an LT tire in this size (285/70R17). No shaking or vibration at highway speed. There is a fairly low humming sound, but you have to purposely try to listen to fully hear it, and I have a soft top, as you can see. I was expecting much worse just by looking at the tire tread blocks. Looking at the very initial wear it seems recommended PSI stated at the door panel (34psi/240kPa on mine) is the pressure to run in these, maybe even lower, will see. I have 36psi right now and it appears edges are not getting quite enough road contact.

Few more which for some reason didn't load up in previous post. Let me just add, these tires feel much better in turns compared to the OEMs. Not surprisingly, that's because they have stronger sidewall.

The Mickeys are a really great tire, I've had a few sets and haven't been let down yet. I would buy them again in a heartbeat
