Default Mile marker winch help.

So I am looking for a winch that won't drain the pocketbook and was considering a mile marker. Are they any good? Also which size would be best for a two door?

They're great winches. An ex-military buddy of mine told me that they're the same brand that they used on the humvee's. I have an 8000 lb. PEC8 on my 2-door. Worked like a charm here: (I'm the white JK at the top, pulling up that 4-door.)

Pretty much every low end winch comes from the same factory, regardless of brand.

All of them are good and will recover you when you need it. Depending on where you live it may be a better investment to find a model that has stainless hardware and is water tight. But here in CA, everything works just fine.

The Milemarker should work fine for you!

I've heard nothing but good things about Mile Marker. i originally wanted one but as i was shopping for a winch around last Christmas i discovered that amazon was having a sale on superwinch's. They make a damn good winch as well and won't break the bank either. I went with the Epi9.0s, which is just the synthetic line model of the Epi9.0. It's rated at 9000lbs and will get you out of most anything.
I've only used mine on one pull, that was with a buddy who buried his explorer in 2 feet of mud. Pulled him out no problem.

Not sure about mile marker but on another forum someone posted a test of each different type of which and engo came out on top. The best part is it was only $289 with free shipping. It was a 9k winch, which is plenty.

I have a VSX 9.5, and its never let me down. I would definately recomend a Mile Marker winch.
