Mirror Relocation Brackets
Has any one installed Rugged Ridge mirror relocation brackets?
I lick the way they look but am concerned that the door might hit the mirror when fully open. Any feed back would be great.

I had an idea about hot swappable mounts. One would go on the door and one at the base of the windshield frame like pretty much all of the existing ones. You'd then move the mirror with little effort from the bracket on the door to the other bracket as you switch out your doors. That way the passenger side mirror wouldn't be blocked when you had your doors on.
Does anyone think that something like that would be a good idea?

I have these and love them. I have had 3 different relocation kits and this was the best I found. one like the classic mirror made too much sound and on the one of the mirror kept falling off. wp doesn't work with doors and the mirrow vibrated too much and couldn't see clearly. the mopar was ok but didn't look good. Non of the morror kits work on the right hand side when the door is on.
With RR, i do not have any problems with taking the doors off and only complain i have is that the factory mirror don't fit the way the intsructions state. other then that, it function as advertised.

the only complaint i had was the factory mirror bolts wouldn't thread into the round cover that hides where the factory mirrors used to go. I had to use the mirror bracket bolts there and the OEM bolts to hold the bracket to the frame. Problem solved.
If you re-use the stock bolts to mount the mirrors and use the silver bolts to secure the door filler plates, then you should be fine. Visibility is better with a small stick on convex mirror from Walmart.
