Mirror Relocation Question
I installed the Mopar mirror relocation kit the other day. Although I'm relatively pleased with my handy work, I can't see anything out of the passenger side view mirror anymore!
I triple checked and I mounted the mirror brackets properly onto the lower windshield bolts but while sitting in the drivers seat and looking out the passenger window I can only see about half of the mirror.
Is there an extension post for the mirror or is there an alternative to http://www.quadratec.com/products/13125_5000.htm
any other suggestions - solutions appreciated.. I'm not sold on these and I really do like to drive and be able to see my blind spot.

It's the problem with relocating mirrors to the windshield bracket, you lose a lot of visibility with the doors on. Some people have extended the passenger side bracket with spacers, most just deal with half a mirror... I don't think anyone makes a bracket that is longer on the passenger side.
I'm on this road. I relocated to the windshield mount, lost half my mirror. I tried those generic jeep mirror brackets, and as usual they vibrate and travel, requiring constant attention. I went back to the relocation bracket and live with half a mirror.
I believe the laws vary by state, but in NY you're only required to have a passenger side mirror if you have a tinted rear window, which the softtop is but if you're topless it's not needed? So I accept it as a ticket preventer more than a side mirror.

This is exactly why I didn't go with the relocation brackets and made my own. I did some investigation and found 95% of the guys (and girls) who bought them were not happy with the result on the passenger side.

I have the same problem. However, my solution is to also leave the the original mirror brackets on the door. I move the mirrors to the door when the doors are on for better visibility, and move the mirrors to the windshield brackets when I take the doors off. It's a pain, but it makes both mirrors more usable for me.
