Here's the deal: I have a friend who has his own 4wd/fabrication shop about 30 minutes up the road. I went to his place and cut out the peices myself from his "scrap" bin. He then welded them together for me. He actually didn't like my design and said he could do it a lot faster, and it would look even better. I talked to him about making some and selling them on eBay and he said he needs to look into doing that. He is a 1-man show right now and is pretty busy building custom roll cages and bumpers and such (even though he doesn't make much money doing it). Since the rules here don't allow me to advertise for anyone, I am hesitant to offer anything up for sale. He did mention that if he did indeed start making them that he would probably price them around $25 each.

Ok, so maybe you could do all of the cutting and prep work, he would do the welding, and then you would clean them up and paint them and take care of the shipping. He would get $15 and you would get $10 - sounds good to me.

I guess I will just have to make something my self and then find someone to do the welding, because I can't weld believe me I have tried. Thanks anyways for the picture and ideal.

Here is my solution to the door off mirror dilemna. Bought the mirror head at the local NAPA store for $7 or $8. The flat stock is 1/4 by 1 inch mild steel. The mounting stud is a 3/8 by 2 1/2 hex head cap screw. I tacked the stud in place to make this a one wrench install. Just drop the stud down through the door hinge and tighten the nut enough so the mirror doesn't flop around. The head of the mirror will adjust up and down on the bolt through the back of the head. The mirror adjusts horizontally by turning it in the hinge. Works like a charm, doesn't shake or vibrate on the road.

I thought I would give this thread a bump. I too am interested in this bracket
