I have a cheap set of hinge mounted mirrors, they vibrate pretty good past about 50, but not bad enough to complain about, I can still see what’s there, in town they work, in the woods I turn my head and don’t really pay attention to them
I've had about everything out there at various points. Now I have the Rugged Ridge mirror movers and I never give my mirrors a second thought. They will work with full doors, half doors, soft doors, and no doors. I change up doors a lot and it's the only way to go. Stock size and location, and power functions retained.
Are those RR? I was thinking those were the quadratec ones. That is what I was trying to suggest above.
I bought these mirrors off Amazon. The driver's door mirror is fine. The threaded part in the passenger mirror (black arrow) is spinning where it inserts in the arm (red arrow), as a result it allows the mirror to be easily blown out of place even at low speeds. I have emailed the vendor to try and get a replacement. I have a friend with a welder and we might just drop a couple little beads on both mirrors to resolve the issue. I intend to use these from the beginning of April into Nov each year, so they need to work. I will keep an eye on the RR relocation solution as a better solution. They way I back into the garage, that side mirror is very helpful as I have to back past the other car in the driveway that sits on that side. I would prefer not to ding up 2 of my vehicles at once!
Well, I had to throw my hard doors on this weekend but left my option 2 mirrors on, just moved out of the way. Well, when I hit 70mph, the pit of the way mirror was not tight enough. The wind caught it and slammed it into the door mirror. The auxiliary mirror shattered. Next time I'll know to remove the aux if I need to put the hard doors on temporarily.
I used option 3. I took an old Harley mirror. It fits right in the door hinge. There is a tapered washer on it that fits perfectly and makes it easy to take on and off. I dont even need a wrench to keep it tight.
I am probably going to return the hinge mirror kit. Since I plan to keep the doors off April(ish) to November(ish) changing out 4 screws is not a show stopper.
You lose a slight amount of visibility from the dash on the passenger side, it works fine driving and a slight lean to the right when backing into a parking space or the garage and you are good to go. Looks stock, doesn't shake. Overall, I am pleased with the result.
I drive without doors and no side mirrors, not sure if that helps. With no top on visibility is good. After years of driving a CJ (the mirrors are terrible and barely usable) I have become used to not using them

Pretty sure that is illegal in NJ. Driver side mirror is required. I need them on both sides to maneuver backwards around the motorhome and into the garage.
