Modding 101
So I have had my 07 wrangler i've had for afew years now, and it's coming to the point where I want to start putting after market mods on the jeep. So I want to start small and "inexpensive" and work my way to the more expensive stuff. Any suggestions on what I should do. Jeep is totally stock at this point.

Your question will generate lots of different thoughts! You may consider a budget boost and some bigger shoes! That will add to capability a bit and make it look great!
Have fun and grow a money tree in the back yard

Do a search for "low cost free mods" there is a thread of about 100+ pages of all kinds of DIY low cost mods to get you started. Just beware it will lead to a super light empty wallet and the larger mods will take over. It did for me.
Idk what I am trying to do, of course look cool, and go to the local off road park, I am not to confident going to raunch creek running stock every thing. I guess more research is needed

Buy some good recovery gear and adjust your tyre pressures for the terrain you drive and you will soon develope a list of wants and needs. Get all the things you need first like a set of bigger mud terrain tyres, a lift of 2" or more, some more lights, a front bar to accomodate a winch later if you want and rear off road bar for protection and storage.
From there if it takes enough time everything may start to wear out so as it does you upgrade it. Like suspension and then hit your want list. Winch, roof racks, long range tanks, etc.
That's the way i'm doin it. Good luck.
