So we are going cheap til' we decide .. I don't know which bumper I want so for now we are doing a temporary mod.

My front stock bumper (no fog lights or hooks) is going to be having a winch mounted. We have winch plate for it ...

so .. I want to try and do this .. since its my jeep. How do I go about it? Since its not a winch bumper. My husband did some rinky tinking with his XJ to get the winch on it .....

Since its temporary I don't care how it looks. Is it possible, without welding you think? We don't have a stong enough welder, neighter does my brother!

So ... yay or nay!

If I get a bumper .. it will most likely be smittybuilt SRC .... it says 419 on there site? Is that correct? They shipping yet?

thx bly. My husband bought the same winch plate ... its the one he had on his XJ .. i didn't hink of searching before I posted. Stupid .me.

 

wait I think he has a different one. Either way. Its worth a shot ... ya think? I will take pics and post em ... if we can get it to work.

 

The search is very useful, but Like toad said, sometimes its all about knowing where to look. And Ive looked at that thraed a million times because I was gonna do the same mount.
