Default Stock Front Bumper Modifying (moving it up 1")

Has anyone thought of modifying the stock front bumper.. moving it up slightly.

Looking at my jk last night, i think this is doable, part of the bumper would have to be trimmed, cut off a bit to relocate it higher.
I like the front bumper, just looks better if it was a little higher.

any thoughts?
(also, im a welder, fabricator,so, i think its doable, just trying to get feedback, thanks guys.

If you're a welder/fabricator, you should be telling US how to do it.

Well if you haven't already taken off the plastic chin spoiler then you should do that. That'll make it look roomier up front. As for moving the bumper up idk. Seems like you would start seeing your frame rails real quick?

I was rolling my eyes at RedneckJeep.

I don't see whey it wouldn't work though. Youll just have to cut some new bolt holes and probably the bottom of the U beam part of the bumper. The stock bumper is basically scrap anyway. I say go for it.

I wasn't being a smartass. I simply meant that if he is a welder/fabricator, then his ideas about what to do would likely be better than some of ours and he should just knock it out and post up what he did.

Ive decided to move the stock bumper about 1" higher and do a winch inside it.
The stock bumper with winch inside has already been done here, great work.

I plan on cutting/ grinding off the welds from behind and rewelding it one inch higher. any suggestions?
i think this would make an easy way to lift the bumper.

ill take pics of the process.

I would think there is a kit for this since most body lifts move the bumpers up, or at least the people who have them move them up.
