I know my JK is not an fuel miser by Ed Begley's view, but I think it does get very fair MPG for what it is. Also, it is my daily driver and I do spend a vast majority of my time on the road so MPG does tend to stay in the back of my mind with the price of petrol.
I'm averaging 19-20mpg back and forth to work and 23-24 on the highway with the top on and stock 3.73's & 225/75-17 tires. What can I expect when I put on 35's? How about with taller gearing?

i have 4.10's and 35's and get about 13-14mpg around town and 16-17 on the highway. Mine is my daily driver and I don't drive much mostly just cruisin around town or driven out to the farm. I have had the jeep for 10 months and only have 8000 miles.
I have a unlimited auto with 3.73 gears. I originally had the 225/75R16 tire package. I have lifted 4inches and gone to 35's. I am averaging about 16 to 17 on the highway, and 14 in the city. I have put well over 2k miles on lift and tires. I am really considering a cai and maybe exhaust upgrade to help gain some mileage back.
