Monstaliner ??
I have the Smittybilt XRC armor fenders on my 2013 2-door and wanting to change the color. I Googled colored bed liners and found Monstaliner. Has anyone had any experience with it? Any help would be appreciated.
Its pretty tough my buddys whole xj was covered in it and he is doing the same to his mj. It doesnt cost a ton and he did it himself. We rolled the xj and totaled it but the lining held up surprisingly well.
It's good stuff and comparable in price to Herculiner. I did some fenders on a trailer of mine and it worked great. This material seems to roll on much thicker and with a better consistency than others I've tried. Prep was fairly easy. Taped off the edge you want, use the sanding pad that comes in the pack to rough up the surface. The Monstaliner has a nice balance between rougher texture and smooth texture. You can run the roller over the liner after it is slightly dry to get a rougher texture if you want or leave it smoother. I'll see if I can dig up some pics but I wouldn't hesitate to use the stuff again.
I lined my interior with it about 6 months ago. So far it's held up great. It's easy to roll on, doesn't have too aggressive of a texture and isn't expensive. I can't speak for anything long-term though.
I've been looking to repaint my bumper this summer as well so roll is nice as I don't have a big enough compressor to run a gun. How is the stuff to clean? Does it keep the dirt and color to it like some bed liners do and you are stuck scrubbing it?
Thanks for the info. I'm going to get them to send some color samples and hopefully do this in a couple weeks. I think I will do my bumpers and rails to. I thought about doing the whole jeep but the paint still looks good. Maybe in a couple years or a few trail tropheys. I would love to see some pics if anybody has some.
