Default Monstaliner Crisp Line?

I want to cover my rocker panels on the outside of my jeep. I bought a product called monstaliner and woul like to put on two coats. I would like a clean edge. Should I just use a good quality masking tape and apply the fist coat, then pull the tape off right away and retape for the second coat or wait and do the second coat before I pull the tape? I have been told by some friends that there is special tape with a wire in it, but it's about $50.00 a roll. Thanks for the help!!

With any masking, pull the tape when it's wet. Trying to separate the dry paint on the tape and the dry paint from the surface will always cause cracking/chipping. I've never heard of tape with wire in it, but I'm sure thats just to guarantee a clean edge. It should still be pulled when its wet.

Did a bedliner once with a roll on product and the tape with a wire in it worked great. He wanted it to go over his bedsides and we ended up with a nice crisp line like you are looking for
