Default Mopar 2" Lift

Looking to lift my 09 Rubicon a few inches to get a little more clearance and articulation. I was looking for some first had experience on the Mopar 2" lift. I don't wanna hear any of the hype just none bias opinions from people that have actually installed this part on their jeep. Thank you all.

I was looking at the mopar lift as one of my options and saw the lift on a brand new jeep (which I test drove) and decided against it for several reasons.

The brake line bracket causes the front brake lines to rub against the shock mounts.

It comes with track bar brackets instead of new adjustable track bars. Especially the rear bracket places undue stress on the stock rear track bar bracket which is notoriously weak anyway.

The shocks are basically $30.00 Hydro shock you can get from any of the lift kit companys.

I drove the new jeep at the dealership and it rode like a brick. The springs were so stiff they made the jeep extreamly rigid.

The big one was the price. There are way better lift kits on the market for the same price.

I chose the Rough Country BB lift for mine with their 2.2 performance shocks. I did extend my bumpstops on all 4 corners and front swaybar links with Tera-flex, but I'm running 35's on 16x8" wheels with 4" backspace and so far, No worries.

A well respected suspension kit is the Tera Flex 2.5" Coil with Shocks.

A more complete suspension is the Old Man Emu Package Deal @ Northridge.

I saw a post a couple years ago by someone that bought this kit. It came in a mopar box but when he opened it, all the boxes inside were marked Rubicon Express.
Yep, re-boxed lifts from Rubicon Express and Superlift, I believe - at a huge mark-up, of course - and they void the warranty just like any other non factory installed part. (the specific dealership that installs it may warranty, but good luck on having any others honor it. Be sure to get everything in writing!! )

Sorry bud, but all you are going to get is opinions. Dealer installed lifts are simply a waste of money...

Just to add , if I had to do it again I wouldnt have gone for the mopar lift due to the price , quality is fine but could have put money towards other mods. Had the lift installed a few months after I bought the jeep so voiding the warrenty was a big concern but a year later, I try to do everything myself, besides Im sure they would find some other reason to deny a warrenty claim

Installed before I bought it on my 10 unlimited. Rides great. No issues as of yet (4800 miles). Has adjustable front track-bar, rear bracket. Bilstein shocks. I probably wouldn't have bought it outright due to its expensive price BUT...I got it so I'm happy.

Mopar is just wayyyyyy too expensive. I think you would be most happy with a 2.5" Teraflex budget boost (I run a BDS). You could save about 1,000 bucks or more.

I had mine installed since new 2010 Rubicon Unlimited (4000 miles now) and love it...smooth ride, warranty, and a perfect fit for my LT305/60R18's.
I did not see anything marked Rubicon Express and the only thing that was not marked Mopar was the Bilsten shocks.
