Default Mopar 2" lift question

I'm looking at purchasing a 2014 JKU Sahara for my wife. It will never go offroad but I love the look of a tastefully lifted vehicle. With that said, the dealership told me in order to keep my warranty, I could only purchase a mopar lift and it had to be installed by them.
This mopar lift is expensive. What makes a 2" lift worth $1500? Is it a good lift? I just want a stock like ride. My wife will be pissed if it rides like shit. Any input is appreciated.

One more thing, I only plan on putting a maximum of a 33" tire on a aftermarket rim.

I had the two inch on mine when I got it. Rode nice and worked good off-road. I ran 325-65-18s on stock rims with 1 1/2 spacers.

Hedgehog.....Quite simply the 2" lift from Mopar isnt worth $1500....But if it is backed with a Warranty. Take it! Thats what Im running on my JKUR X. My only recommendation is to go with upgraded shocks if offered. Currently running 35 x 12.50 Toyos on Fuel trophy. The ride was stiff before the bigger shoes on stock rubber. Currently it is firm, but thats with Pressure dropped and I assume the coils have settled in a bit. Its a fine line to find what is acceptable on road vs off road. I find paved roads a little stiff, but once she hits dirt I am very satisfied! I am currently getting ready to go to flatties to open up the wheel wells. I have yet to run into any issues when disco'd offroad with the current set up. To have any issues covered by your dealer with a lift is worth it to me. Especially for a new vehicle. But mind you.....There are many similar systems out there with better functionality and cheaper price! Go for it! Run the Warranty out of gas and then upgrade! If your dealer is open to just a puck style leveling kit. I would go for it. If you are only running 33's and staying on pavement. It will fill the bill. The second pic is of the 11' sahara on 33's with a level kit.

Its the same lift Im running j2.....You just have more "awesomer" shocks.
The new motor is more than capable of turning those shoes. You will not be happy with 33's....The unlimited's look much better with 35's. I have yet to run into any issues when flexed. My intentions were to keep a low COG. I think once I get flatties on her. It will be perfect. My advice would be to run with 35's. Had to shorten up the rock rails but that was it.

Hi ironside! I've been reading your threads and it's very knowledgeable. You mention that you run 35's on 2"lift. how's the ride and mpg. I'm running out my stock tires right now so I have time to decide if I go to 35's. it's also my DD or shouldw I say mall crawler with my 2 daughters. Lol! I really enjoy reading your thread.

You can put whatever lift you want on it and still keep your warranty on everything else other than the lift. That warranty pitch is how they sell overpriced lifts to people that don't know any better. And this thread is a year old...

My setup is ideal for your rig, 2" teraflex leveling kit, Monroe reflex monotube shocks and 285 BFGs. Perfect for everything other than rock crawling which I don't do anyways!

I wheel my jeep ALOT and have zero issues with this setup.

I'm actually searching for a 1" lift or less.. I was given a chance to test a 2'' inch lift on stock suspension.. we didn't like it.. The 2 inch kit had spacers and shocks.. So there's two way one can approach this.. go with a mild lift of 1 or less like were. Which means using the spacers and factory shocks..

Then there is the 2'' or better range.. and after testing the 2'' soft lift.. I would suggest that you go for a 2'' - 2.5'' hardware lift.. or one of the simplest lift.. the Rubicon coils and shocks.. That setup will grant you that 2 inch without any extreme modifications.. though extended sway bar links would be advised. I really do not see a point to have spacers more than 2'' tall.. so anything below this plateau. one can use spacers.. above that 2 -2.5 range.. go full hardware.
