Default Mopar Bumper w/ added fog lights

Here are a couple of pics of my Mopar bumper with some aftermarket fog lights added back . I'm going to try a to get a mini write up on here when I have the time, until then, here are a few pics of the (mostly) finished product, what I started with and how they are mounted.

Default Nice

Thats pretty sweet. Would have been great if you could have found someone to weld some steel mounts to the back of that bumper but that was a great idea with the pvc. What kind of glue did you use? I like that baby monitor on the jeep too. Mine didn't come with one of those

Man, that looks great, nice fab work. That is one of the better looking bumpers I have seen.

Thats the best pics of that bumper I have seen to date. I think that bumper is going to steal my money from AEV. Now that someone has figured out how to put fogs in it, I am sold. Any way to get the factory fogs in to save a little more money?

Maybe I will give it a try in a few months.

Looking forward to your write up.

Anyway we could see the light pattern those put out on the ground?

Oh, if you really want to get some bling, put a light behind the Jeep cutout to light it up. Only half kidding, it may look kind of cool to try.

I also would not mind having a couple of those in the rear bumper as well to help in hooking up a trailer at night.

Not a bad idea at all, a couple of LEDs and you are done.

I like it!

I'm working on placing the factory fog lights into that same location. Still trying to find the right diameter steel tubing.

How did you cut such a nice smooth hole?

Two words JD....hole saw. I know that you had told me how you were going to mount the factory fogs. One reason that I didn't re-use them was beacuse of their size and the way they mount. I didn't use metal pipe 1) because I didn't want to have to weld and grind which 2) would have meant that I would have had to re-paint or attempt to touch up the bumper paint. I saved all of that by going this route.

I used something that body shops use called Duramix. It was basically an epoxy. Well see how well it holds up. Yeah, what can I say. I was finishing the wiring while the son was napping.

Well, Fog lights cost me $20 from Walley World, PVC was $6, Paint $6, Adhesive...FREEBIE, Sold factory bumper with lights for $200.....so I think that I came out pretty good. jdrogers is working on using the factory fogs. I just didn't have the welding/grinding/painting tools to accomplish it. Plus I was detered by the size of the factory lights and how they mount up. I thought it might end up a little too tight.

Actually, I had thought about doing both of those, only halfway on lighting up the "JEEP", but very seriously about using these fogs and doing the same on the rear bumper. I'll see how my "engineered" cans hold up.

Sorry Gasser, I could get a good pic to come out right. The pattern is pretty good though. The fog lights self center between the male and female PVC coupling and since I kept part of the original flat surface on the female coupling where it mounts to the bumper, they also self-aligned there. It worked out probably better than I expected.
