Default Mopar CAI - The Truth

Installed the Mopar CAI today and figure I will give my take on it. First I can't complain what so ever because I know I am getting a small mod for HP or even a minor mod for any HP gains. I will say that it sounds better then stock which a lot of people say it does and in fact I think Jeep/Chrysler need to work on the stock airbox because the sound you get the from CAI should be stock type of sound.
Anyway you don't feel huge gains at lower rpms but mid-range you can feel it and hear it. I did get the whistle sound which kinda sounds like a BOV or a hamster who suffered hamster wheel burns. Overall not a bad mod if you got money kicking around. This is just my two cents.

I heard the Mopar CAI for 5.7's actually reduces power according to dyno runs lol... I'm glad they got something right with our 3.8's...lord knows we need the power!

Please be careful when going through water or deep mud with the CAI. It is very vulnerable to water ingestion when compared to the stock airbox.

Yes, I am familiar with CAI, I had a few on assorted cars. The Mopar CAI is actually the AEM version just re-branded.

does any1 know the actual hp and tq numbers 4 this intake; or maybe even a dyno sheet? does this cai come with a sheet metal shroud to prevent the intake from sucking in hot air from the engine bay like say an airaid or aem intake does?
