Default Mopar lift kit question

Hello everyone!
I was considering getting a Mopar 2" lift kit on my new JK, but can anyone please tell me why this kit is so expensive?! The service rep at the dealership told me it would cost $2000 to have it put on ($1400 for the kit and $600 for the labor). Does that seem about right?

The reason why I was looking at this kit instead of any others out there, is because I was told that this is the only kit that will not void my factory warranty. I'm trying to save a few bucks and at the same time I would hate to lose my warranty because of a lift kit... I would love some advice if anyone is willing to give it!

why so expensive? simply because it's from the stealership The kit they use is from Rubicon express and you could get it for just a few hundred bucks from vendors on this forum. Install is super easy, you can do it yourself. How can they void your warranty? That kind of lift kit is usually just longer shocks and coils spacers. I installed mine 3 years ago and I still have a warranty.

Your dealership is not being honest with you, they just want your money.

Dpn't listen to the "void the warranty" crap from the dealer. If you go with an aftermarket lift, they no longer have to warrnaty your suspension but they have to, by law, cover everything that was not touched that is still original. If your lift does something to damage another part, they have to prove that is what caused it.

I was given a $1900 price tage for the same lift at my dealer. $1400 to buy and $500 for install. My guess is the lift is going to come with the coils, shocks, adjustable track bars (front and rear) and upper and lower control arms which can easily bring a lift cost through the roof. If it doesn't come with all that, it is way overpriced.

I went with the TF 2.5" coil lift. Should be getting it this week and have already found a dealer service department that will still fic my JK under warranty even with the lift.

Check the Staging Area, Cali has plenty of peeps that'll help you install, buy a better lift and save money.
