Default Mopar off road winch bumper with lights?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is enough room and possible to mount d rings between the crush cans and fairlead, one on each side?

I saw the mod where you can take the factory hooks and cans off but I would like to keep them and just add the rings somewhere.

Is this possible?

Even if you could, I wouldnt recommend this. You would be mounting the d rings to a flat plate instead of directly to the frame. Your likely to just bend the bumper when you use the D -rings to pull someone out. It only takes about 20 minutes to cut off the crush cans and bolt the D-rings to the frame. I went with the rugged ridge ones.

I was afraid of this. Call me crazy but I actually like the look of the cans. You think it is possible to mount the rings to the face of the cans and into the frame?

Definitely not.. the cans are thin and meant to crush. I assume you are using the stock JK hooks? I think thats the only way to have a recovery point and keep the cans.

I agree - cutting off the cans is the safest bet. Pure Jeep used to make bolt-on mounts as well.

This wasn't really my first bumper choice, didn't buy it yet either.

Maybe someone here who is more knowledgable can help me figure something out. I have a currie/ rock jock tow/ skid plate mounted beneath and behind the stock bumper. It would definitely work with the mopar off road. We flat tow behind our rv and it works great.

Does anyone know if ithe currie plate would work with the rugged ridge xhd or the warn elite? These were my first options but have been unable to confirm if the currie plate will still work.
