Default Morryde hinge tailgate

Ok so Im putting the 35 spare on and have heard a million different things. Do I need to reinforce the hinge and or do I need a separate tire carrier.
Morryde makes one of each that are cost effective and have decent reviews. Seems like a good budget option.
Thanks!

I have a 35" on my tailgate with a heavy beadlock wheel- all of it rides on the MorRyde hinge, gate reinforcement, and tire carrier. It closes nicer than a stock tire on a stock gate.

Could you did do just one piece of the three? Sure, you could upgrade in stages. I did hinges first, then the reinforcement piece and the tire carrier at the same time. If you're tight on the budget then you can try to squeeze by with the hinges and gate reinforcement while saving for the tire carrier. I've seen the stock carriers crack, that's why I went with upgrading mine before it hit that point. They don't all crack but when they do you're left with an interesting mess and I didn't want to deal with that at 65mph.
