Default Motorcycle Mirrors

I was looking at getting a set of mirror relocation brackets until I started seeing suggestions to use motorcycle mirrors instead. I'm looking for details as to what I should look for exactly. I'd like something a little different than the round or square mirror. Anyone have suggestions or tips for what I need to look for. This may be a pretty general/vague question.

This is an option too. I was looking at motorcycle mirrors though and liked some of the different designs like the maltese cross or the skeleton hand holding the mirror. Not necessarily something that I was going to go with but liked having the option of something different than square or circle. Thanks for the link to this though, I may just be heading to the store after work now to pick this up.

I bought the harley long arm mirrors. I have the drivers side on right now and going to pick up the passenger side tonight since i had to order it. So far i am very happy with the look and functionality.

The part number is 91909-03B Mirror Right Long Stem Black. THey are $37 a piece and fit in the door hinge. they mount using an acorn nut. takes about 30 seconds to put one on. Little to no vibration.

If you google that part number you will find links to pictures of the mirror.

ID:	199332I don't know how well you can see them but mine are sort of oval. They are the HD long stems. The passenger side is all but worthless. You have lean over to see anything in it. I have a set of the new Rugged Ridge mirrors coming. They are suppose to fix the visibility problem and they mount to the A-pillar which will be nice. If I like the RR ones, I'll make you a deal on my HD ones.

Went to a local bike shop and asked if they had any used mirrors laying around. I got to pick out a box for $15 bucks. I like it.

Well, I don't have motorcycle mirrors on my Jeep (although now that you brought it up, I think I am gonna bite your idea), but I do have a Harley as well. A good place to buy some used mirrors is Ebay, or head down to your local bike shop (NOT HD dealership) and explain to the old bikers what you want to do. Also, most aftermarket motorcycle mirrors are made much smaller than stock ones, so I would reccomend going with stock mirrors that will at least give an acceptable viewing field. Arlen ness also makes some nice mirrors.

search ebay for mirrors in the motorcycle section. Don't know about fit because I don't run any mirrors when my doors are off, but there are tons of options there if that helps at all
