Default Mountain bike set up

Didn't like seeing my bike bouncing around the back spare with a cheap ol rack and didn't want to spend 400 on a sturdy one so.......

2x4, some simple hardware and this fork brace. Supplies were $ 4.00 and brace was $20. This thing is sturdy! Plus now I can enjoy post ride beers and leave the bike with no worries. Anyways thought I would share.

Looks good. Did you mount the 2X4 to the floor or does it just sit on the floor?

The 2x4 is mounted to the floor with two 1/4" bolts and the rear tire has one of those rubber bungee cords through the wheel to the frame of the folded down seat

I used to do something like that with my pickup, I'm trying to find a very simple way to do that with a 2 door.
