Default mounting tires on AEV beadlocks?

So I am mounting my 37" Mtz on pintler beadlocks. Getting the inner bead over the face of the wheel was easy. Really struggling now to get the outer bead to sit on the lip of the wheel. Does it have to drop down on that lip? Or do I just center the tire around the holes and start bolting?? Thanks

You can try sitting the wheel on top of a 5 gallon bucket, they may help your situation.

It's already on a bucket. I've watched videos on it and they all just center the tire around the bolt holes, but I wonder if the aev wheels are different. Seems like that lip would be useless unless the tire was meant to sit on it.

The tire sits down onto that outer lip. With the whole thing sitting on a bucket use a deadblow hammer to coax the tire down onto it. The tire should just stick up a little above the talker circle with the bolt holes and fit snugly around that circle if that helps?
