Default Mounts for a flag pole

I'm looking to mount a large 5' X 3' Virginia Tech flag to my bumper to fly on game days and various school events. Has anyone seen someone do this with their JK yet? I'm not sure if I should drill into the bumper, but I also don't know any other way to do it either... any suggestions?

get you a 7' long piece of 2" square tubing, so it will fit in the receiver. drill a hole for the hitch pin. then get someone with a pipe bender to bend a 90 in the tube. you will have a 6' tall flagpole out the back of the jeep.

only problem is you will have to remove it to get to the tailgate.

definitely do it off the frame via hitch, aftermarket bumper, etc. don't do it off the cheapo factory bumpers or off the body or the spare tire for that matter. a flag and pole actually will create alot of resistance if you are going fast enough. thats why you see so many ladders come off trucks because they're not secure enough.

i tried to do this with an american flag in highschool(yep, i was in highschool) and tied it to the rollbar in my truck. i drove about 2 blocks under 20 mph and that thing flew out of the bed and thank goodness no one was behind me.
