Default Moving the back seat

I have a 08 two door jk and have to put a car seat back there for mine and my wife's new baby and was wondering if anybody knows if there is a way to move the back seat back as far as it could go to allow more room for a car seat

I don't know of any way other than to relocate the brackets in the floor. This is a real safety concern, so I don't know that I would risk the safety of my child with anything other than the factory mounts that have been through extensive testing to ensure they are safe. Also, consider that moving the rear seat back will place you child in a more vulnerable position in the event of a rear end accident, which is more common because it's cause by the other driver and you have no control. It may be time to consider a JKU!

Agreed that you'll have to move the bracketry. Have you looked at the teraflex 3rd seat hardware and checked to see if it is possible to put that in the back?

I removed the rear seat and lashed the car seat down to the connection points in the floor. It is in so tight that you cant move the car seat at all, unlike when you attach it to a seat.

I'm not sure that's a great idea. A little movement from the seat is good since it helps cushion the baby during an impact. Of there's no give at all then a lot more of the energy from an accident will be transferred to the baby...

Yup definitely the reason for car seat

Would never even consider mounting car seat in any other way than intended mount to factory rear seat
