Default Moving Out Front Upper Shock Mount Holes

My front passenger side shock is hitting the frame during droop, it is constantly loosening the shock bolt and I'm concerned it will eventually damage the shock. I'm running the BDS tuned fox shocks mounted body up.

Anyone see any issues with me drillin a new hole 1/2" farther out on the tower and mounting the shock there? This is only an issue on the passenger side...

There are kits designed to address the shock rubbing frame issue and most of them move the bottom shock mount out on the axle. I like this solution better because I think my tire would hit the shock if I moved the top mount outwards. (My tire rubbed my reservoir hard when I had it piggybacked onto the shock body.)

I would cycle the suspension and make sure you have room if you do move the top mount out instead of the bottom.

If it's only on the passenger side then you need to address your front track bar length.

There are two companies that I'm aware of that move the top out, everyone else moves the bottom out and rotates it as well. Those kits are a little more expensive but they serve two purposes and they're less prone to failure- check the reviews.

Thanks! Your right I have enough clearance on the other side that my TB might be off by a 1/2".

The housing on my shocks were larger so went to Rebel off road and picked up the axle brackets. They are a lot closer to you
