Default Mtr/k giving problems

My 38x14.5x17 mtr/k won't stay balance for anything and they are cause my jeep to death wobble, should I just get a different tire or what?

Have you tried having the position changed on the wheel, how much weight are they taking to initially balance?

What wheels do you have? Some of the heavier wheels like Rockmosters have made it harder to balance the MTR's.

had the same problem when we ran a set and all our problems went away when we reinstalled a old set of toyo's we had in storage. mtr's are the worst tire we've ever run and i would never purposfully run them again. it's too bad too as they look cool and we really wanted to like them.

I am currently running a set of 37s. I too had balance issues with them. The best 2 I run up front and the ones with more balancing weights I run on the rear. I had my tires balanced by some who is very experienced. He stated he would have sent them back but I stayed with them anyway. We'll see what happens when i go to rotate them. I run them on AEV 17" rims. They were road forced for what that's worth. One tire after spinning it on the rim a few times was able to be balanced (this is the worst one) with about 13 oz of weight. We did discuss a patch balance too. I do like the tires for the type of terrain I run. The were tons better in the winter compared to my km2's. Just my experience.

Maybe you could try using dynabeads or taking the tires off and re-seating them on the rims?

Unfortunately, I believe it is the nature of the beast with this tire. A.friend of mine runs them with same issue

Default I hated mine!

I won a free set from a Jeep Jamboree, and hands down the worst tires I've ever had! Never could keep them balanced or aligned, always got stuck with them, and never had any issues with my Toyos before and after.

My shop seems to have no problem with mine. They run great at all speeds the 35/12.5/17 has performed great for me no trouble in deep Georgia mud. Not had a chance for many rocks here. I have 15000 miles on them wearing well at 30 PSI I love them.

Both the MTR/K as well as the Wrangler Silent Armor are know for being hard to balance. Something that's not much of a problem with their Dura Trac Tire's.
