mud bogs and airing down???

Default mud bogs and airing down???

Going to my first mud bogs soon will airing down help in the mud as much as in the sand?

It will always increase your footprint, let you get more traction on rough surfaces and provide floatation in sand but you need to be careful in the mud. If you air down too far and blast into the mud you can slip or break a bead and that is a PITA to fix in the mud.

I've tried it both ways and never saw any appreciable difference in the mud. It makes enough difference in the sand to do it but I never air down to play in the mud anymore. X2 on the trying to reseat the bead on a muddy tire.
