muffle instal advice
Hey
Just got my flowmaster 50 this afternoon
It is just the muffler, with no piping for the inlet our outlet.
I want to instal it soon but am unsure about how to go about
doing that.
Should i order the inlet and outlet pipes? Should i go to a place
like MONRO who i am told can bend their own pipe and just
have them install it? Or does anyone have any other suggestions
Thanks

I had a FlowMaster 50 installed a week ago today.
I bought the muffler myself and had Ralph's muffler install it.
I had previously relocated the Evap canister, and so I wanted the muffler to go under the tub.
I bought the stainless steel model, and the inlet/outlet options (and availability) really made it tough to install the muffler where I wanted. (I wanted it as close to the transfer case as possible.)
I searched through the threads on this forum for ideas about muffler location, and tailpipe routing and location. There are some pretty good ideas, although the FM 50 is a little bigger than a lot of the mufflers installed on JKs (I think).
I would be happier if the muffler were closer to the front, and tucked tighter to the frame rail on the left side. But, it is higher than the frame rail, so I probably shouldn't be complaining.
I am very pleased with the routing of the tailpipe over the swaybar.
I was a little underwhelmed with the volume of the exhaust; but, it is growing on me.
I hope you enjoy yours.
(I know... this post is worthless without pics... I just haven't taken them yet.)
Thanks
Jeff
