Nooob answer= vehicle dependent... 2010= completely different than 2012

Give it a few weeks to break in before you decide. Flowmaster super 44 plus 18" outlet equals pretty good

No pipe = more hum and resonation

Did you decide on one yet? I just ordered a super 10 today to try and see how it sounds. At 6"x 4" x 9" it solves the clearance issues

Longer muffler = quieter tones.

The longer the muffler the more "muffling" of the sound you have. Part of the reason most factory mufflers are 3' long.

MANY factors play in muffler /exhaust sound and resonace. Location of muffler, location of pipe, length of muffler and pipe...to many factors to say and one persons exhaust with a welded in muffler may sound different than anothers with the same muffler in a different spot. The Super 10 muffler is considered a "race-type" muffler but of course on a small displacement v6 it wont sound like the engines its intended for.

Very true.

I simply meant, and should have said, that for two mufflers of the same type, assuming same relative location on a vehicle, the longer one will be quieter than the shorter one.

A 14" Magnaflow will be louder under the same truck than a 18" under the same truck.

It doesn't sound like a race car. I've had the 40, super 44 and now super 10. It's not obnoxious and has a nice tone for a v6.. Similar to 44 just more aggressive
